This
section is concerned with organising resistance to the increasing
exploitation of our community by building developers.
These developers see Leigh as a rich source of profit, providing
fat pickings to satisfy their greed.
They are ripping up the fabric of our town, demolishing traditional
family homes and cutting down the trees and gardens which
in the past have provided so much pleasure to the residents.
In their
place they are cramming blocks of flats and houses which are
of poor design and quality and which do nothing to enhance
the townscape, rather these new buildings have a major detrimental
effect on the character of our neighbourhood.
