to
specific planning applications.
Write to the Council with your objections. This does not
need to be a detailed letter; a note registering your opposition
will be enough. Every letter helps!
- Encourage
others.
Too often people say "nothing can be done"; help
them to see that doing something can get results
- Join
the
Love Leigh
pressure group.
Unified action can achieve more than people acting alone.
Help them help you to help protect Leigh.

- Contact
your ward councillors.
Let them
know how you feel in general and about specific planning applications.
Remember, they're there to help you.
|
- Attend
Southend
Development Control Committee meetings
(Planning meetings) when a priority planning application
is being considered. Your presence will help convince the
meeting that the people of Leigh takes the issue seriously.
- Write
letters
to the local papers.
Not only will you get your voice heard but a mention in
the paper will help spread the word.
